ACE Artist in Residence (AIR)

Ace Hotel’s Artist in Residence program is developed in partnership with curators and cultural institutions to support contemporary artistic practice through site-responsive residencies. For the 2026/2027 Sydney program, Ace Hotel is collaborating with José Da Silva, Director of UNSW Galleries, aligning each residency with participating artists’ forthcoming and ongoing exhibition projects at the gallery.

The program offers artists a one-month residency in a hotel room adapted as a temporary studio, enabling periods of research, production, and experimentation within a lived environment. Each residency culminates in the presentation of new work within Ace Hotel spaces, activating the hotel as a public site for cultural engagement.
