Join us to celebrate the opening of two exciting new exhibitions by Australian artists Sarah Contos and Bianca Hester.
Sarah Contos: Eye Lash Horizon
‘Eye Lash Horizon’ is the first institutional survey of the concepts, media, and preoccupations that have shaped the practice of Sydney-based artist Sarah Contos over two decades. The exhibition features a series of expansive installations weaving together a complex tapestry of images and forms to provide a kaleidoscopic view of the human condition. Curated by Karen Hall.
‘Lithic Bodies’ brings together new work by artist Bianca Hester developed during her long-term engagement with the Permian-Triassic 'extinction line' in the Illawarra coastal region. Responding to the deep temporality of this location and its complex material entanglements, the project enacts an expanded sculptural investigation spanning objects, images, video, text, and walking. Curated by Bronwyn Bailey-Charteris.
