As part of Sydney WorldPride 2023, UNSW Galleries and ARC Creative came together to present 'THE PARTY' — a vibrant, student-led celebration of queer creativity through performance, music, and visual art.

Staged in conjunction with the UNSW Galleries exhibition and programming series Mixed Company, the event spotlighted the work of 18 emerging artists and DJs from Sydney’s queer communities. It honoured the legacy of the artist born on the dance floor, celebrating queer party culture as a vital site of resistance, joy, and radical self-expression.

Audiences experienced a dynamic mix of live performances, DJ sets, visual artworks, and photography, brought to life by a new generation of queer creatives.
