Sydney Launch of Memo Review Issue 2

Memo is delighted to announce the Sydney launch of our second print issue at UNSW Galleries. Join an insightful panel discussion on the Tennant Creek Brio and grab a copy of the new issue to take home.

The panel will discuss Brio's recently opened exhibition Tennant Creek Brio: Juparnta Ngattu Minjinypa Iconocrisis and the politics and aesthetics of artist collectives. Panellists include Memo editors Paris Lettau, Verónica Tello, Amelia Winata and Tennant Creek Brio artist Lévi McLean. 

Issue 2 includes an artist feature on Tennant Creek Brio, with articles by Tristen Harwood, Jessyca Hutchens, and Maurice O'Riordan and text by Brio artists.

The issue also features Yoko Ono, Emily Kam Kngwarray, Kim Gordon, Wes Anderson, Karen Kilimnik, Alexandra Peters, and many more. With contributions from Gemma Topliss, Audrey Schmidt, Philip Brophy, Rex Butler, David Velasco and Kate Sutton, Carmen-Sibha Keiso, Vincent Lê, Lévi McLean, Paul Boyé, Declan Fry, and others.

Participants

Lévi McLean is an artist based between places. He is presently working with the Tennant Creek Brio, performing various roles.

Paris Lettau is a barrister, writer, and editor. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Memo magazine.

Verónica Tello is a writer based on Gadigal land and a senior art history lecturer at UNSW Art & Design.

Amelia Winata is a writer and curator based in Naarm Melbourne. She is currently Curator at Gertrude Contemporary and an Editor of Memo Review. She recently completed a PhD in Art History at the University of Melbourne.
