Eye Lash Horizon

Co-published by UNSW Galleries, STATION and Art Ink.

This publication accompanies Sarah Contos’s first major institutional exhibition, which maps the concepts, media and preoccupations that have shaped Contos’s artistic practice for over two decades. The 300-page monograph includes texts by Sarah Contos, Karen Hall, Natalya Lusty, Daniel Mudie Cunningham, and Naomi Riddle.

Sarah Contos: Eye Lash Horizon is a vibrant collective of ideas and materials that come together to form a fascinating expression of the human condition. The exhibition surveys the concepts, media and preoccupations that have shaped Contos’s artistic practice for more than two decades. It features new and reworked projects across a series of expansive installations, each informed by contradictory modes of intuition and intention that seek to unravel the complexities of existence.
